When I’m in the water with my camera I wish I had my board and when I’m on my board I’m tallying up the great shots I would have taken if I only had my camera.

This is my dilemma.

I know what you’re thinking, “If this is the only problem you have then you have nothing to worry about.” Well, you’re right. I have a beautiful wife, a very cheeky 3 year old boy and the whole family loves surfing. (If my boy isn’t in to surfing he is going to spend a lot of lonely hours waiting for Mum and Dad to get out of the surf).

The bottom line is that I love surfing and I love photography and I’m very fortunate to be in the position to spend time doing both.

I really look for and love getting, on the odd occasion, a shot that is more about the feeling of surfing rather than the action of it. This is especially rewarding when I’m involved in shooting a family of surfers.
